Outsourcing of IT Infrastructure management is what lots of core companies are resorting to in the quest of cost savings. There are lots of leading IT Services companies who have recognized potential in IT Infrastructure Management services business and have plunged in to it. The IT Infrastructure industry shows a promise of becoming worth Rs. 53560 Cr by 2012(Source: Industry analysis; Addressable Market).
Hence what becomes the need of the hour are employable IT Infrastructure management engineers, this being a manpower intensive job. But unfortunately the pool of skilled manpower in this field is shrinking day by day. If we look at a fresh engineering graduate passing out of college, he/she is not ready for taking up the technical assignments of the business at a fresh state. Industry requires someone with hands on experience!
How would get the experience? How do you become employable?
To meet this mammoth requirement of employable engineers, we at HCL have launched a IT Infrastructure Management Training Program. The program is targeted at bright and fresh Bachelors in Engineering candidates. The year long program will include 6 weeks of exhaustive class-room and practical training conducted by experienced professionals of HCL, the remaining period is On-Job Training (With Stipend as applicable) at HCL offices. On successful completion of the program the candidate would get a certificate from HCL and also could land with Job opportunities in the IT industry as well other business organization including our company, affiliates and group companies.

What is the
Program all about?
The Program focuses on providing hi-tech
Training as per the curriculum to the selected candidates in the stream
of Computer Networks, Network Operating Systems, Security, Storage and
other IT Infrastructure Services. The intention is to produce
candidates who will have capabilities to be productive in such areas of
IT services where such training is successfully completed. The program
involves class-room training followed by On Job Training at various
offices of the company. Training as per the terms and conditions of the
Program.

Bachelors in Engineering Candidates meeting
the company's selection criterion.

What is the
Duration of the Program ?
It is a year long program with 6-8 weeks of
exhaustive class-room and practical training conducted by experienced
professionals of HCL, followed by 10 months of On-Job Training (With
Stipend as applicable) at any of HCL offices located across India.

What do I gain ?
On successful completion of the program the candidate would get a
certificate from HCL Training.
The candidate would also specialize in one of the following fields of
technologies
1. IT Infrastructure Design.
2. IT Infrastructure projects Implementation.
3. IT & Infrastructure Management.
4. Client Space and Servers
5. Networking & Security
6. Managing Self & Surrounding in real situation
7. Knowledge, Experience, there by Confidence (KEC mantra)
The field of specialization would be decided by the Training center for
the Job training to be undertaken by the candidate. The candidate would
be evaluated throughout the yearlong training. On successfully completion
of the program, candidate would receive a certificate by HCL Training
recognizing the candidate as a HCL Certified IT Infrastructure Engineer,
a rare breed of individuals who are considered trained professionals in
their field of IT work.
He / She would be equipped with contemporary knowledge and real time
experience, valued by the growing list of prospective employers in the
field of Hardware and IT Infrastructure Integrators.
On completion of the program the candidate may be offered a placement as
per the policy of the company, though it would not be binding on him/her
to join.

How is the
Training Facility ?
HCL Insys has its own training facility in
Hyderabad. The Facility is equipped with all the latest equipments
needed to bring out the best in oneself. The Facility is managed by
HCL's Professionals. All training sessions are taken up by these
individuals having ample industry and training experience. The Facility
has well equipped Labs with latest inter-connecting devices.
The trainees are also provided lodging and boarding as per the training
program.

Is there any Practical Training?
During the initial classroom training the
candidate would be given class-assignments, cases and problems. This will
be followed by ten months of On-Job Training where the candidate would
be assisting the Project Teams of the company at any where in HCL or
its affiliates offices across India

Is this a Residential Program?
HCL would take care of the candidates
boarding and Lodging expenses (excluding traveling cost) for initial period
of training not exceeding 30 days during ILT, as per the Training
Program.

Are there Job
Opportunities after the Program?
Yes*, all
successful candidates may be given an option as per the policy of the
company to join any one of the HCL group companies or its business
affiliates.

Batches:
We have already started fourteen batches
of 15-20 candidates each till Jan’08.
Engineers in these batches come from all across the country
including states like, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, UP,
Bihar,Maharashtra, Orissa,MP, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

What is the fee involved ?
The minimum fee for the training program is
INR 1,00,000/-(Rupees one Lakh only). The fee covers candidates
training and accommodation cost to the company as per the Program. The
candidate would get stipend as applicable under the Program during
their On Job Training.
