For the knowledge worker HCL has launched India’s first multimedia notebook powered by Microsoft Media Centre and for aspiring women executives / homemakers a sleek ultra thin and light laptop.”


HCL is also the first brand in India to launch a Notebook powered by Windows Starter Edition.


HCL also unveiled ruggedised notebooks, which confirm to MIL – STD 801F and are designed for computing in extreme conditions like -15 degree C to +65 degree C, rain, snow, extreme vibration etc. These offer great value to defence personnel in army, navy and air force, construction sites, personnel working in oil rigs.


The notebook market has already witnessed exponential growth for the last two years and is estimated to grow at more than 50% year on year.
